Saudi Arabia on Thursday beheaded a citizen convicted of deliberately murdering a man, the state-run news agency said.
Omar Bin Mohammed Aseri was executed in the southern city of Asir for murdering Ali Bin Ibrahim Aseri, the kingdom's official Saudi Press Agency, or SPA, reported, citing an interior ministry statement.
The report said the murderer lured his victim to a deserted area, stabbed him twice and hit him on the head several times with a large rock, then left him to die. The crime occurred recently and Saudi security forces soon captured the killer, SPA said.
