Six-nation meeting on Iran to take place next week

A six-nation meeting on Iran will take place next week, after diplomats review their options on persuading Tehran to abandon its nuclear program, British officials said Thursday. The meeting of senior representatives from the five permanent UN Security Council members and Germany was to have been held Friday, but will now take place on Wednesday. "We can confirm that the meeting will take place on Wednesday, but we reserve any further comment until after that meeting," said a spokesman for Britain's Foreign Office, speaking on condition of anonymity, in line with government policy.
