Speaker likens Ahmadinejad to Hitler at Yeshiva U

US Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney compared Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Adolf Hitler in a speech to Jewish university students. Romney, a Mormon, was the keynote speaker Thursday at a dinner for the business school of Yeshiva University, which is rooted in the traditions of Jewish law and life. Romney steered clear of any talk of religion, but instead focused on foreign policy, speaking in facor of making the US energy independent, spending more on defense and keeping Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, said the Iranian leader has "gone beyond the boundary of outrage." "His purpose is not only to deny the Holocaust; it is to deny Israel," Romney said. "He is doing as another evil man did before him: conditioning minds to acquiesce to the elimination of a nation."
