A strong earthquake shook southeastern Taiwan on Sunday but no serious damage or injuries were immediately reported.
The 6.2-magnitude quake was centered in the Pacific Ocean, 20 kilometers east of Taitung county, at a depth of 12 kilometers, the Central Weather Bureau reported.
Taitung is 250 kilometers southeast of the capital, Taipei.
