Suspected Taliban insurgents attacked a group of engineers surveying a dam in western Afghanistan, triggering a clash in which three militants were killed and one villager was wounded, an official said Sunday.
The Afghan and Indian engineers were surveying a dam in the Bala Buluk area of Farah province on Saturday when they were attacked, said Anwar Khan, a spokesman for the provincial police chief.
