US diplomat travels to China for talks with North Korea

The US State Department's top Korea expert will travel to China for talks meant to spur North Korea to agree to a plan allowing inspectors to verify its declared nuclear program.
The State Department says Sung Kim will leave Wednesday for China. He has no current plan to meet with North Korean officials while in Beijing.
Kim is the Bush administration's special envoy for six-nation nuclear disarmament talks. He is expected to finish his meetings during the weekend.
The Bush administration says it will remove the North from a US terror blacklist after Pyongyang has agreed to a full nuclear verification plan.
