US-led coalition member killed in Afghan bomb attack

A roadside bomb killed a US-led coalition service member on the outskirts of the Afghan capital on Sunday. A coalition statement did not specify the nationality of the victim and said there were no civilian casualties in the blast. Bariyalay Khan, a district police chief, said the blast occurred on Kabul's eastern outskirts near a police training center. He stated that two American coalition members were traveling in a two-vehicle convoy that was attacked.
