The US State Department said Monday it is seeking information from Iran about a private American citizen reported missing while on a business trip to the Islamic republic several weeks ago.
Spokesman Sean McCormack said the department had sent a letter to the Iranians through the Swiss government, asking if authorities had any information about his welfare and whereabouts.
