A US soldier was killed by small-arms fire in an attack Tuesday in Baghdad, the military said.
The Multi-National Division - Baghdad soldier was killed in a southern section of the Iraqi capital, according to a statement, which provided no further details.
The death raised to at least 3,494 members of the US military who have died since the start of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
