Iran arrests 10 foreigners who entered illegally

Iran has arrested 10 foreigners who entered the country illegally, state television reported Tuesday. The report did not give their nationalities, but said only that they had entered Iran through Chah Bahar, a port city in southeastern Iran about 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the Pakistani border. Police detained the foreigners near Abadan, a port in southwestern Iran on the border with Iraq, the broadcast said, indicating that they had crossed the country from east to west before being detained.
