Iranian members of parliament will likely defend Teheran's nuclear enrichment program during a weeklong visit that kicked off Friday, said Indonesia's foreign ministry spokesman.
The nine-member delegation was in the capital Jakarta to boost economic and political ties between the Muslim-majority nations, Desra Percaya told reporters, "but they will of course explain Iran's nuclear position."
Sultan Valeki, a spokesman Iranian Embassy, earlier said he doubted the nuclear dispute would be on the table.
"This is just a bilateral meeting between Iran and Indonesia's parliamentary friendship committee," he said. "I don't think the nuclear power issue will be discussed."
