Report: France, Germany, UK pushing for increased Iran sanctions

France, Germany and the UK are planning to present US President Barack Obama with a list of increased sanctions against Iran, the Financial Times reported Tuesday.
The report cited a "confidential document" which detailed 34 Iranian entities and 10 individuals suspected of being connected to nuclear or biological weapons programs in the Islamic Republic.
The Financial Times said that while diplomats in Europe confirmed that such a list existed, they gave different reasons for it.
Some reportedly explained that the list aimed to beef up the current "carrot-and-stick" approach, while others said the reason was to push for "a more hard-line outcome of Washington's current review of its Iran policy."
