Report: Iran to continue work with UN nuke agency

Iran's official news agency is defending Teheran's stand over the controversial nuclear issue and says the country will "continue its cooperation" with the UN nuclear watchdog. A report on IRNA from late Wednesday says Iran has given the UN agency's inspectors access to its nuclear facilities. It quotes Iran's nuclear official Mohammad Saeedi as saying this "will continue in the future." The remark came after a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency said its investigation into Iran's alleged nuclear weapons program was "deadlocked." The IAEA says Iran is continuing to expand uranium enrichment, an activity that can make either nuclear fuel or fissile warhead material. Iran claims the activities are only for power generation.
