Russia's UN ambassador is urging Iran to drop its opposition to talks with six key nations trying to ensure that its nuclear program is peaceful.
Ambassador Vitaly Churkin said the only way to resolve the nuclear dispute was through negotiations.
Churkin said Moscow expected negotiations between the six key countries and Iran. And he said Iran's negative statements toward the negotiations were not helpful and not constructive.
