Italian chef Massimiliano Di Matteo winner of Master Chef - " We will lead a cooking workshop for influencers, bloggers, opinion leaders and media professionals".

As part of the activity, the Italian Trade Commission will launch a special and exclusive workshop with the winner of "Master Chef", Italian chef Massimiliano Di Matteo, who will hold a special and exclusive workshop for influencers, bloggers, opinion leaders, and media professionals in Israel, with an emphasis on a variety of Italian cheeses, to be held at Agatha's Deli in Tel Aviv, which imports and markets the largest variety of Italian cheeses.

According to Giuseppe Russo, Head of the Italian Trade Commission in Israel: "Italian Culinary Week around the world, held this year under the theme "In Italian Meal: Health with Taste", establishes its status as one of the most important events held in the world to promote Italian excellence."

He said: "Commercial and cultural relations between the nations of the world have always served as a way to prevent conflicts, alongside an effective tool for promoting dialogue and cooperation between peoples, so despite the difficult period that Israel is going through, it was important for us to hold the event in the hope that good food, cooking and togetherness can symbolize our modest contribution to a gradual return to routine."

On the occasion of Italian Food Week, the Italian Trade Commission collected data from the Central Bureau of Statistics showing that imports of food and beverages from Italy are constantly on the rise, as evidence, in the past five years, food imports from Italy have increased cumulatively by 60% and reached a value of $ 279 million in 2022. Even looking at import data for the first nine months of 2023, food imports from Italy increased by 5.8% compared to the same period last year.

Among the products imported in impressive quantities from Italy are bakery products and cookies, pasta, coffee, mineral water and chocolate alongside cheeses, canned tomatoes and sauces and wines that, even if imported in smaller quantities, still retain their place and even write on it.
