IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir visited the Israel Air Force’s Tel Nof Airbase on Tuesday, where he met with commanders, aircrews, UAV operators, and technical teams, the military said.

During the visit, Zamir received an operational briefing on the activity and readiness of the base’s various squadrons and units. He was accompanied by the base commander, Brig.-Gen. S., along with other senior officers.

Addressing personnel at the base, Zamir praised their efforts both in routine operations and during Operation Roaring Lion, emphasizing the central role played by the technical crews in sustaining the IAF's operational tempo.

One mission after another

“On behalf of all the people of Israel, you are extraordinary,” Zamir said. “You are doing excellent work, and I know you are doing it around the clock.”

He said the Air Force’s “operational machine” must continue functioning nonstop, “one mission after another,” and noted that operations planned months ago were now being carried out with precision strikes against designated targets.

At the same time, Zamir warned that significant challenges still lie ahead. “We must not become complacent for even a moment,” he said.

“I trust you, I trust the Israeli Air Force, and I trust the IDF to move forward with great strength and great faith, to deliver victory for the people of Israel and to win this war,” Zamir added.

IDF Airstrikes

The IDF confirmed on Tuesday that a majority of the IRGC’s Internal Security and Basij forces infrastructure has been dismantled by IAF strikes in the Ilam Province.

The military also confirmed it identified several operatives in Iran's ballistic missile program operating in the west of the country, preparing to launch missiles towards Israel on Monday.

Following their identification, an IAF fighter jet struck and dismantled the launcher and killed the operatives before a launch could occur, the military confirmed on Tuesday.
