Dozens of Breslov Hasidim broke into Joseph's Tomb in Nablus, barricading themselves inside after crossing into Palestinian-controlled territory without IDF coordination on Tuesday morning.
Nablus is classified as Area A, under the security control of the Palestinian Authority.
Police forces are preparing to enter the site and are awaiting the IDF's arrival. At the same time, a report was received by the police about a confrontation in the area between Palestinians and Jews, with authorities investigating any potential connection between the incidents.
Israeli attacked, car stolen near tomb complex
In August 2025, an Israeli entered the tomb complex in his vehicle. Shortly after leaving the site, his car broke down. When he got out to address the issue, he was attacked, and his car was stolen.
Following the report received at the military coordination and liaison headquarters in the city, the headquarters acted to provide protection to the Israeli and simultaneously handed him over to IDF forces.
