Former Gaza hostage Rom Braslavski has filed a complaint against the partner of Israeli singer Nasrin Kadri for allegedly assaulting him at the HIVE nightclub on Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv, Israeli media reported on Sunday.
Police have opened an investigation and issued a warrant compelling the suspect to appear for questioning.
Initial findings indicate Braslavski tried to enter the club but was refused. Shortly afterward, a brawl broke out during which the complainant was allegedly assaulted by the suspect, who was present at the venue.
Kadri's partner, known for appearing on Israel's 'Rising Star,' has not been arrested. Police said they are conducting further investigations to locate him. According to officials, the incident occurred during a private party hosted by the singer, and the fight began at approximately 12:30 a.m.
As part of efforts to complete the picture of events, police are considering taking a formal statement from the singer. Investigators are working to clarify the circumstances of the confrontation and the roles of those involved.
'Just because you were a hostage doesn’t mean you can talk however you want'
A police source told Maariv that Braslavski did not require medical treatment. Additionally, it was claimed that he had not been invited to the private party at the club and was therefore not permitted to enter.
According to the source, two men later came out of the club, one of them the suspect, who confronted him and his friend. He said the partner shouted at him, “Just because you were a hostage doesn’t mean you can talk however you want,” and then went on to assault his friend.
The former hostage arrived Sunday morning at the Lev Tel Aviv station and filed a complaint against the singer’s partner, alleging he had blocked his entry. In his statement to police, he said, “I tried to enter the party, and he refused. An argument began, then he punched me in the face. He kicked my friend.”
Investigators said another club-goer, a friend of the complainant who was inside the venue, was also attacked during the confrontation. When the former hostage tried to intervene and help his friend, he was allegedly assaulted as well.
"Those who returned to us may look like everything is fine, but they are suffering internally. No one, not even me or anyone else, could understand what they are going through," Braslavski's mom stated.
"They suffer from severe post-trauma, and it's important to be sensitive with more than just words."
