Master Sergeant Vladimir Loza, age 36 from Ashkelon, was killed in combat in the southern Gaza Strip, the IDF said on Tuesday.

Loza served in the 5th Brigade’s 7020th Battalion.

In the incident in which Loza was killed, a building in Rafah collapsed following an explosion, and the military is investigating the event, according to Walla.

Loza was the second soldier to be killed on Monday. The other was St.-Sgt. Amit Cohen, who fell earlier in the day in an explosion in Khan Yunis.

Cohen, 19, from Holon, served in the Golani Brigade’s 13th Battalion.

Last week, three soldiers from the Armored Corps were killed during operational activity in Jabalya in northern Gaza.
