An IDF officer was severely injured during combat in the central Gaza Strip on Thursday afternoon, during the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur.
The officer serves in the Field Intelligence Corps' 414th Battalion.
He was evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and his family was notified.
