The IDF has conducted strikes that have killed at least 40 Hezbollah terrorists in southern Lebanon since the beginning of October, the military confirmed on Sunday evening.
This results in at least 380 terrorists being killed in IDF strikes since the ceasefire with Hezbollah began on November 27, 2024.
The IDF's strikes since the ceasefire took effect were carried out amid 1,900 ceasefire infractions by the terror group, the military noted.
Israeli military carries out three strikes on terrorists in southern Lebanon on Sunday
Earlier on Sunday, the military confirmed that it conducted at least three separate strikes on Hezbollah terrorists in southern Lebanon on Sunday, killing at least two.
The IDF's 91st Division, with assistance from the Israel Air Force, struck one terrorist near Yatar who was "engaged in attempts to restore" Hezbollah's terror infrastructure.
Another strike was conducted near Bint Jbail, where the military killed a local representative for the terror organization.
Terrorist coordinated between Hezbollah, local residents in southern Lebanon
As part of this terrorist's role, he was responsible for connecting the terror organization with local residents "on military and economic matters," the IDF clarified.
The terrorist also worked to take over private properties in the area so that they could be used for terror infrastructure and operations, the military added.
A third strike was carried out on an additional terrorist at an as-yet unspecified location or role within the terror organization. The results of the attack are still under investigation, the military noted.
While the military did not confirm that this was the previously mentioned strike, a later statement confirmed that the IDF struck and killed Hezbollah terrorist Zakaria Yahya al-Hajj near Jouaiyya, in southern Lebanon, earlier on Sunday.
Hajj was a senior Hezbollah terrorist who "activated agents within Lebanon's security systems," the military stated.
He also "acted to suppress criticism" of the terror group by opposing factions within Lebanon, the military added.
