The IDF located a weapons cache belonging to Hezbollah in a children’s bedroom during a targeted raid in the area of Aadshit al-Qusayr in southern Lebanon over the past few days, the military said on Monday.
Numerous explosives, ‘Kalashnikov’ rifles, grenades, RPGs, machine guns, munitions, and combat equipment were found in the cache.
The discovery of the weapon’s cache further shows that Hezbollah “cynically exploits the civilian population in Lebanon in order to execute terror attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops,” the military noted.
Additionally, the IDF dismantled more than 50 terror infrastructure sites, including an underground compound used by Hezbollah south of the Forward Defense Line.
Hezbollah launches explosive drone at IDF soldiers
Separately, the IDF said that Hezbollah had launched an explosive drone towards troops operating south of the Forward Defense Line on Sunday, adding that the drone had later been intercepted.
“The IDF will continue to operate against threats directed at Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers, in accordance with directives from the political echelon,” the IDF said.
