The IDF killed Hamas terrorist Saqr Nabil Musa Qaisi in a strike in Khan Yunis on Sunday, the military said.

Qaisi was a member of the terror group's Nukhba Force who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre, according to the IDF.

He also served as director of the Turkish organization Deniz Feneri, which presents itself as a humanitarian aid organization but, according to the military, maintains ties with senior Hamas figures and elements within the Turkish leadership.

The IDF said Qaisi sought to "regularly employ numerous terrorists and provide support to Hamas terrorists."

Although Deniz Feneri presents itself as an aid organization carrying out humanitarian work, it "in practice promotes fundraising to support the Hamas terrorist organization," the military said.

IDF says Qaisi posed ongoing threat, violated ceasefire

The IDF also said Qaisi had been "advancing terrorist activities against IDF troops and Israeli civilians and working to restore the organization’s capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire."

"The terrorist was eliminated in order to remove the threat he posed," the military said.

Before the strike, the IDF said it took steps to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
