Ahead of the strikes, IDF Arabic Spokesperson Lt. Col. Ella Waweya issued an evacuation order to residents of the southern Lebanese town of Arab Salim on X/Twitter.

Israeli operatives, according to KAN, established several small humanitarian aid projects and sold wares to Gazans who, in turn, sold the items at local markets.

The strikes follow an announcement by Defense Minister Israel Katz earlier on Friday that the IDF had cleared Lebanon's Ali al-Taher ridge tunnels of Hezbollah terrorists.

The announcement came following warnings issued to areas in northern Israel Friday evening of upcoming IDF strikes on southern Lebanon.

Fighters are expected to avoid harming noncombatants, including civilians, prisoners, and the defenseless, as much as possible, and to maintain their humanity even in the midst of combat.

In another operation, the IDF, guided by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), also confiscated concealed weaponry, questioned suspects, and arrested over 10 wanted individuals.

Southern Command officials are also not ruling out rocket fire toward Israel as an attempt by Hamas to demonstrate its strength.

The attack came hours after more than 50,000 people gathered at the Western Wall to recite the selichot earlier in the night.
