Yesh Atid head Yair Lapid rejected the establishment of a center-left bloc on Wednesday with the Labor Party, as proposed by the opposition leader Tzipi Livni. "The Labor Party and I are not in the same place," Lapid said to the Army Radio. "I am not on the left, I do not rule out a coalition meeting with the Likud, but I will not sit with Netanyahu if an indictment is filed against him," he added."If the center does not rally behind me, Netanyahu will be elected again," Lapid said.On Tuesday Livni asked from fellow leaders of the center-left to act unselfishly in order to prevent Netanyahu's reelection.“All those who are partners in our path and who declare that they are putting the good of the state first, must also be a partner to unifying us,” Livni said at an event of the Israel Democracy Institute and Interdisciplinary Center.“We can form a larger, winning team, but all of us must set our egos aside for our joint goal of a political upheaval. We must say first state, then party, then ourselves,” she added.Gil Hoffman contributed to this report.
