15 people arrested for allegedly defrauding Ma'atz of over NIS 1,000,000

Police arrested 15 people on Monday on suspicion that they defrauded the Public Works Authority (Ma'atz) of over NIS 1,000,000.
Police suspected that officials from Tsiyunei Derech Ltd., a company that carries out road maintenance work for Ma'atz, forged documents detailing non-existent deliveries of construction materials, thus leading the latter to pay much more than necessary for the company's services.
Among those arrested was the deputy head of Ma'atz's maintenance department, who allegedly received bribes from Tsiyunei Derech officials to enable the deception to continue.
