A 17-year-old Jerusalem teen was under arrest Monday for allegedly taking part in a lethal car race in which two Arab residents of east Jerusalem were killed, police said.
The suspect, who cannot be named because he is a minor, confessed to taking part in the suburban Jerusalem car race with the deceased, as well as to participating in other races elsewhere in the city over the last several months, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said.
The teenager has been remanded in custody for five days by a Jerusalem court.
