A 20-year-old resident of Bnei Brak sustained serious burns all over his body after his clothes caught fire while he was attempting to build up a bonfire in celebration of Lag B'Omer.
He was evacuated to Tel Hashomer Hospital in serious condition, MDA reported.
The public is urged to exercise caution at holiday bonfires.
