Charges to be pressed against PFLP members for murder of cabinet minister.

The state is due on Friday to submit an indictment against four members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine suspected of involvement in the assassination of cabinet minister Rehavam Ze'evi, the Justice Ministry announced on Thursday.
The suspects are Ihad Alma, head of the PFLP military wing; Majdi Rimawi, who allegedly recruited the cell that killed Ze'evi; Hamdi Kura'an, who allegedly pulled the trigger; and Basel al-Asmar, who allegedly helped Kura'an.
The state decided not to indict PFLP secretary-general Ahmed Sa'adat for the murder because it did not believe it had enough evidence that would stand up in court. Sa'adat will instead be tried in a West Bank military court for alleged security violations.
The five, plus Fuad Shubeiki, Yasser Arafat's financial adviser, were seized from a Jericho jail in March after their British and American guards were recalled home following the Hamas victory in the Palestinian general election.
Ze'evi was shot and killed in 2001 as he was about to enter the Jerusalem hotel room where he stayed during the work week. He was reportedly killed to avenge the killing of Sa'adat's predecessor by a guided missile while working in his Ramallah office.
