Arab lawmaker asks Knesset to ban former MK Biton for 'swearing' at him

MK Abbas Zakour (United Arab List) has appealed to the Knesset to ban former Hadash MK Charlie Biton from the plenum, saying that he swore at him during this week's special Knesset session for French President Nicolas Sarkozy and called him a fifth column. Speaking to Israel Radio Thursday, Biton admitted the latter comment, explaining that he was expressing his anger at Arab MKs who interrupted the speech of opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu. However, Biton denied swearing and said it was Zakour who had used foul language.
