Three Israeli Arabs attempted to steal a tractor from a separation fence construction site in the West Bank on Monday.
After clashing with three security guards the Arabs eventually succeeded in stealing the vehicle, driving away before running into a member of the Agriculture Ministry. The men then abandoned the tractor and returned to the building site, again coming to blows with the guards, this time stabbing one of them with a knife and lightly wounding him.
The assailants then fled the scene in their car, evading the security guards who shot in the direction of vehicle but failed to bring it to a halt.
West Bank Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident which was seemingly the result of an employment dispute.
