Former Knesset speaker Avraham Burg was interrogated on Monday by the National Fraud Squad for his conduct in awarding a tender for the sale of Ashot Ashkelon Industries Ltd. to a consortium that he himself headed.
Burg is suspected of submitting false information about the deal to government authorities.
He was questioned under police caution for 11 hours.
