Azzam Azzam, the Israeli Druse who spent eight years in an Egyptian jail after being convicted of spying for Israel, said Friday that he wished Prime Minister Ariel Sharon a full recovery.
"Arik Sharon brought me back from an Egyptian grave," Azzam told Army Radio.
"I never thought I'd set foot back in Israel and Sharon gave me new life. I hope he recovers fully and becomes prime minister again," Azzam said.
