Barak receives not-so-warm welcome in Nazareth

Defense Minister Ehud Barak, while attending a supporters' rally in Nazareth Saturday, was received by dozens of demonstrators, family members of Arab Israelis killed in clashes with police in October 2000, who shouted insults at him. Among the demonstrators were Hadash chairman, MK Muhammad Barakei, and MK Abbas Zakour (United Arab List). Barak was prime minister when the second Intifada broke out in the territories and spread to Israel in October of 2000. The protestors yelled slogans such as, "Barak, Barak, defense minister, how many children have you killed so far?", and "Barak, Barak, you killer, we will not let you rest. You will end up in prison."
