Ben-Eliezer: Barak knows a lot about security, much less about politics

Defense Minister Ehud Barak understands a lot about security and defense but much less about politics, National Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said Saturday, stressing that the defense minister therefore needed a strong support base. Speaking at a 'Cultural Shabbat' event in Haifa, Ben Eliezer stressed that while Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salaam Fayad were "good people," agreements must be made with "strong people who can honor them." The infrastructures minister reiterated his call to free Tanzim leader Marwan Barghouti.
