Ben Gurion Airport baggage workers end strike

Ben Gurion Airport baggage retrieval workers ended their strike on Thursday evening. The brief strike began some hours earlier and called to convene an emergency meeting of the airport workers' union, after claiming that the Israel Airports Authority management had broken previous agreements when it terminated ten temporary workers' contracts. A few months ago, airport workers conducted a strike following the intention of the management to dismiss 140 temporary workers. The two sides came to an agreement by which 70 of those employees were allowed to remain in their jobs.
