Outgoing Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, in a phone conversation with Interim Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Wednesday, vowed that his party would continue to support Israel, even while in the opposition.
Olmert thanked him for his friendship and invited him to stay in Israel as his personal guest. He also displayed appreciation for Berlusconi's achievements and added that he was a great leader.
