Bishara: I won't be treated like common criminal

Former MK Azmi Bishara said on Wednesday that he had no intention of sitting in an Israeli court "like a common criminal," and that at this stage he also had no intention of returning to the country, Israel Radio reported. In an interview with Al-Jazeera TV, Bishara said that "Israel is the one that needs to defend itself in court for its hostile acts against Lebanon." The former Balad chairman noted that he had never used violence, and had never defended the use of violent acts. During the interview, he referred to the Israeli press as "totalitarian and hysterical."
