Blair: New PA gov't must adhere to int'l demands

British Prime Minister Tony Blair said on Monday that the international community would deal with a new Palestinian unity government only if it adheres to the international demands that it renounce violence and recognize Israel. "You can't negotiate a two-state solution, Israel and Palestine, if one part of the people you're negotiating with is saying 'We don't want Israel to exist,"' Blair said at his monthly news conference in 10 Downing Street . Blair also bemoaned the "terrible situation" in the Gaza Strip.
