Police found the body of a three-year-old boy in the wreckage of a car in the town of Rahat on Tuesday evening.
The boy, reported missing several hours earlier, had apparently been playing in the abandoned car and gotten locked inside it.
Police were still investigating the circumstances of the boy's death.
