The largest medical donor search in Israel's history has yielded a bone marrow donor for leukemia patient Omri Attia, 13, director of the National Bone Marrow Registry Bracha Zisser announced Sunday.
Ezer Mizion organized the donor search two weeks ago.
The donor's identity will be kept secret, and - according to the law - only a year after the bone marrow transplant will the donor and Omri Attia be allowed to meet.
"I tried to grill the doctor and find out who the donor is, but it's not allowed and I'll wait patiently for a year," Attia said.
