An 11-year-old boy drowned Wednesday while swimming in a public water park in Tel Aviv.
Volunteer rescue forces from 'Hatzala Israel' attempted to resuscitate the boy for 20 minutes after he was pulled out of the water in serious condition. Magen David Adom members arrived to evacuate him shortly before he died on the way to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer.
Tel Aviv District police and the Labor Office have opened a joint investigation into the event.
