'Bush, Olmert discussed connecting Israel to anti-missile system'

Israel has asked the US to allow it to connect to an advanced satellite warning system which would enable it to identify missile launches from anywhere in the world in real time, Army Radio reported Friday. According to the report, the issue was discussed in meetings conducted between Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and US President George W. Bush during the latter's visit to Israel this week. A final decision was set to be made when Olmert visits Washington in two weeks, the report added. Reuters first reported on Sunday that the US may offer Israel the powerful 'forward-based X-band radar' during Bush's visit.
