The cabinet on Monday passed a list of long-awaited benefits for Israelis who do reserve duty in the IDF.
The bill was approved following negotiations between the Defense and Finance Ministries over the price of the package.
Now that the bill has been approved by the cabinet, reservists are set to begin enjoying the benefits already in the near future. Benefits include: a two-point income tax break, attractive housing loans, preference when competing in Israel Lands Administration tenders, college scholarships, a 25 percent discount on property tax and a discount in taxes when buying a new car.
