A 36-year-old tourist from Cameroon was arrested Thursday on suspicion of committing acts of fraud.
The suspect allegedly told his "customers" that he was in possession of equipment to counterfeit dollars, demanded payment for the counterfeit bills, and then absconded with the cash.
Police said that at least one person had been cheated out of tens of thousands of dollars.
