Central Tel Aviv streets closed for traffic due to marathon

The police closed off several streets in central Tel Aviv on Friday morning, as thousands of runners set out on a marathon run, another event to celebrate the city's 100-year anniversary. Hundreds of policemen and ushers are deployed along the 42-kilometer-long route. There is currently only one other marathon in Israel - the Tiberias marathon, held each January on the banks of the Kinneret.
