Central Tel Aviv streets closed for traffic due to marathon
By JPOST.COM STAFF
The police closed off several streets in central Tel Aviv on Friday morning, as thousands of runners set out on a marathon run, another event to celebrate the city's 100-year anniversary.
Hundreds of policemen and ushers are deployed along the 42-kilometer-long route.
There is currently only one other marathon in Israel - the Tiberias marathon, held each January on the banks of the Kinneret.
