Israel Beiteinu is on the verge of making history. It has been a long road and a tough journey, but it has also been a gratifying one. When Israel Beiteinu was founded in 1999, it was with a simple purpose in mind. It was meant to be the voice of all those who wanted something better than politics as usual. We felt there was an important place for a party and a movement that would stand up for working-class men and women who care about their country, who are patriotic and believe in the destiny of the Jewish people. I am proud of what our party has accomplished. In a short period we have become an important voice for change and an essential voice for principles. We speak for those who seem to have no one willing to speak for them. Working men and women who are being asked to sacrifice without getting what they deserve in return, while at the same time they see there are many who receive benefits who never sacrifice. And worse, they see some who benefit even though they oppose all that Israel stands for and is. We are the voice of the future, we are the voice of the hope and dreams of those who want a government as good as the people it serves. We want to move Israel forward with dignity and respect in the eyes of the world and in the eyes of our citizens. Israel Beiteinu wants to make our children proud to be Jewish and to be Israelis. We want to teach more Jewish values in our schools and restore the confidence and optimism of our citizens. We represent the future not the past. We represent those who want a better tomorrow and those not satisfied with the events of today. Israel Beiteinu stands for strength and strong leadership, courage and commitment. We are the party that says what it means and means what it says. We are the one party that speaks the truth and is unafraid to do so. We are a party of immigrants and natives, a party of old and young, rich and poor. We speak for the Israeli people who have one thing in common: They love their country and want what's best for their country and the Jewish people. Israel Beiteinu stands on verge of making history, not because of who we are, but because of what we stand for. The people of Israel know they can trust us to represent their voice. I am proud and urge all Israeli citizens who care about our future and who want to see a proud Jewish state to go out and vote on February 10. Vote for a better tomorrow by voting for Israel Beiteinu. The writer, a member of Knesset, heads the Israeli Beiteinu party.
