Leaders of the Druse and Bedouin communities were angered by the conduct of Kadima MK Ruhama Avraham-Balila during a ceremony honoring fallen soldiers from these communities, Monday.
Israel Radio reported on Tuesday that several local leaders left in the middle of a speech by Avraham-Balila because, they claimed, she had used the platform to express her support of Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz.
Avaraham-Balila reportedly touted Mofaz as "Israel's next prime minister."
Staff members in Avraham-Balila's office denied the accusation, saying that no political issues were raised during the ceremony.
