Egged driver, two others held for stealing buses and taxis

Two Israelis including an Egged bus driver were under arrest Tuesday for allegedly stealing city and private buses and taxis and then selling them to Palestinians in the West Bank, police said. The stolen vehicles were dismantled in the West Bank, and their parts were reused. The case came to light after a private bus company reported that four of its buses were stolen. The two suspects were brought to a Jerusalem court for a remand hearing. Police said more arrests were expected in the case in the coming days.
