An Egyptian helicopter was identified crossing, without prior approval, into Israeli airspace over the Gaza Strip on Tuesday afternoon, the IDF said.
IAF planes were dispatched to the scene and accompanied the helicopter out of the airspace.
Following the incident, the IDF issued a statement saying that the IAF "will do its utmost to protect Israeli airspace and Israeli civilians."
